Lancer baseball dominates thus far
April 28, 2016
Sitting at a record of 11-4 the boys varsity baseball team is off to a hot start this season and looks like it is going to improve upon last years record.
This can be attributed to the teams better pitching. Senior Joey Thompson said, “The team is pitching much better this year and holding our opponents to less runs.” In fact Lafayette has outscored their opponents by a margin of 109-76 this season.
Currently the team is being lead offensively by Andrew DuPont who leads the team in several offensive categories. He leads the team in average, on base percentage, hits, doubles, home runs and RBI’s.
Ryan O’Connell leads the team in several pitching statistics such as wins with four and ERA at 1.40.
Joey Thompson said “This year the team is very senior heavy and this experience is leading to more wins.”
The Lancers next game is match up at Lindbergh on May 5.
