Lancers and Wildcats face off in important boys soccer match

Lafayette (17-0-1) and Eureka (15-4-1), fierce rivals, look to prove their dominance in this monumental game. Lafayette looks to keep their 16 game winning streak alive in what might be the biggest game of their season.

In their last game, the Lancers cruised to a 3-0 win over Parkway North (5-14-2). Goals came from Dominic Deprospero, Jack Mazza, and Matthew Scharf; Drew Moser also added two assists. Scharf’s goal this game propelled him to the top scorer for Lafayette so far on the year, with seven goals. Goalkeepers Scott Caraway and Brendan McKenna continued their stellar play, letting in no goals for the third consecutive game.

Eureka has also been solid, winning their last two games 2-1 against Vianney (10-12) and 5-0 against Northwest Cedar Hill (10-13). They also look to keep their winning streak alive.

Lafayette and Eureka are ranked #7 and #9 respectively in the STL Today High School SportsĀ rankings, so their prowess is clearly recognized by others.

After this game Lafayette takes on Kennedy (10-13) while Eureka takes on #1 ranked SLUH (20-2).
