The Commons will will be filled with music Saturday, April 17 during the “Bash For Cash,” a charity concert benefitting Project Sunshine.
The event will feature multiple guitar ensembles performed by Lafayette students and local young musicians and is being hosted by juniors Jared Appelbaum, Jessica Foley, Kelsey Haberberger and Marissa Passi for an end-of-the-year service project for their participation in the Junior Leadership program.
All proceeds from the concert will go to Project Sunshine, a charity that supports the fight against childhood cancer.
There will be performances by a number of musicians including seniors Michael Cronin, Zack Frazer, sophomores Hannah Boxerman, Alyssa Knowling, Jean-Luc Panchot and Stevie Tieman.
Along with watching the performances, those in attendance will also be able to purchase raffle tickets for a possibility of winning signed posters, CDs, shirts and albums. The merchandise and albums are from or signed by bands such as Hellogoodbye, Rise Against, the Sick Puppies, Switchfoot, 311, Muse, OneRepublic, Jet, Blue October, The Used, Flyleaf, Puddle of Mudd, Coheed and Cambria, Atreyu, Cavo and Ludo.
To take part in a night full of music and prizes while helping to fight cancer, tickets can be purchased at the door on Saturday for $5.
