Lady Lancer basketball has a combined record of 11-11 on the season. The last game they played was against Francis Howell Central, in which they lost by a final score of 48-31.

The Lancers came out fresh and rejuvenated because their previously scheduled game against Hazelwood Central was cancelled due to snow. This energy was displayed early, as they jumped out to a 12-10 lead in the first quarter.

But as the game went on, they lost their fleeting first step and fell behind, losing each quarter by a small handful.

Junior Tayler Dent said, “It was a tough game but that’s been the story of our season. We’re constantly improving and focusing on playing better as a team.”

The Lancers next game will be against McCluer North on Feb. 24. North will be seeking to extend their three game winning streak to four and increase their record to 15-8.
