The varsity field hockey team enters this week 5-2.  After a 3-0 loss to Cor Jesu, the team turned it around and won the Gateway Classic Tournament over Labor Day weekend, which included a 3-2 victory against John Burroughs as well as victories against teams from out of town.  The girls then defeated rival Eureka 5-0 at home September 2nd, with 3 goals from Alexa Simpson and one from Megan Dart and Cassandra Deprospero.

The team continued their winning streak with a 2-0 victory against Ursuline at home on September 5th with both goals from Paige Miller.

This week, they will travel to Edwardsville on Thursday followed by another away game at John Burroughs on Friday.  Stopper Alex Oscarson believes the team will be successful in their coming games. “We put in the effort, and we will see the results.  Our coach (Melissa Lantz) is wonderful and we all work really well together,” Oscarson said.
