Micek scored 5 total touchdowns, as he threw for 241 yards and led the team in rushing yards, 80, as Lafayette beat their longtime rivals, Eureka, at Eureka, 35-6.
The Battle of 109 proved to be a revenge game for Lafayette, as they lost to Eureka at home, 30 – 15, last season.
Along with the strong offensive performance, the Lancer defense showed up, as they forced five turnovers, including a blocked field goal, two interceptions, and 2 forced fumbles.

The game started out close, as both teams traded touchdowns, before the Wildcats drove down the field and nearly scored from the one-yard line. But a fumbled snap on third-and-goal forced Eureka attempted a field goa

Then the kick was blocked by senior defensive back Chase Roeder, who scooped it up and returned it to the Wildcat’s 16-yard line. Despite the great field position, Lafayette failed to capitalize, getting no points on the drive.

Following this both teams traded possession, before Micek led the Lancer offense on a quick five play touchdown drive, capped off with a two yard rushing score by Micek, right before halftime, to make the score 14-6.
In the second half, the Wildcat offense struggled as the Lancer defense held them just 94 total yards, forced two fumbles, and had an interception.
This is the sixth time, out of seven games, that the Lafayette defense has allowed six or less points to be scored on them.
The strong defensive performance paired with an offense that hasn’t scored less than 35 points all season, make the undefeated Lancers set for a deep playoff run.
