After the restricting snow day, having to play indoors and on parking lots, girls lacrosse geared up for their first game of the season with a lack of actual practice. However, with full support by students, players were expected to have a guaranteed win.
Living up to expectations, the girls won Monday night in the game versus Parkway West 16-10.
The seven seniors on the team: Kenzie Henning, Jaclyn Higgins, Hannah Finley, Bentley Leonard, Becca Moss, Hannah Schneider and Mara Worely, have begun their final season with a win and a strong desire to keep the streak going.
“We started off strong with a solid team, it will be interesting to see how the season goes,” said Moss.
The team plans to continue working and perfecting play for their next game on Wednesday.
