New summer school additions and enrollment
New options for Summer school classes will be available this year for Rockwood Summer Academy.
Four classes will be added: Health Education, Health Education Online and Personal Finance and Business which is also offered online.
Personal Fitness and Wellness and Art Fundamentals were the only two classes previously offered.
Rockwood Summer Academy is offered at Marquette High School and due to construction at Rockwood Summit High School, Rockwood Summit’s summer school will be held at Rockwood South Middle School.
There are two sessions from Mon. June 5 through Fri. June 30. Session One is from 8 a.m.-11:15 a.m. Session Two is from 11:30 a.m.-2:45 p.m.
“For students, they fill out blue enrollment form or it’s also online,” Registrar Felicia Smith said.
The enrollment form can be found in the Guidance Office or on Lafayette’s website under Guidance and Counseling Office.
“We allow only so many people per school and class, so turn in applications as soon as possible.” Smith said.
Summer school registration began March 7 and ends June 5.
