Freshmen class collects books for kids in need
Senior Advisory is currently collecting books from the freshman class for kids living below the poverty line at The Freedom School in University City, Missouri.
The books can be used or new and the goal is to have 1,000 books by Friday, April 28. The book minimum is three and will be collected in 9 grade Language Arts classrooms.
“With having 469 freshmen, I think we will be able to reach our goal even if students only bring in a couple of books. I have already brought 100 books in, so we only need 900 more,” Assistant Principal Kirti Mehrotra said.
The Language Arts class that collects the most books will earn a doughnut party.
