Every year during Homecoming Week, the highly attended Powder Puff game takes place, where junior and senior girls show their skills on the gridiron.
This year’s game is set to take place Wednesday, Sept. 28, at 7 p.m on the stadium field.
Athletic Director Steve Berry said that tickets are expected to cost $5, the same as last year, and the proceeds will go to charity.
One of the most anticipated events of the Powder Puff game, performance from Male Escadrille at half-time. “Male Escadrille (Esca-dudes) will start practice on Wednesday morning of this week,” Varsity Escadrille Coach Katie Whiteside said.
Whiteside added, “The officers of Varsity Escadrille, captain Maria Tocco, co-captain Mackenzie Schwietz and squad leaders Laura McGuire and Jessica Carlson, will be choreographing the routine.”
Assistant Principal Matt Dieckhaus said the juniors are preparing for the game. “Juniors will meet Monday through Wednesday in the Commons to go over plays.”
“David Choate (STUCO sponsor) runs the clock. It’s an hour long game, not including half time,” Berry said.
