Long overdue, the Lafayette parking lot underwent a complete makeover this past summer. Improvements to the parking lot were just one of the $23 million worth of projects the district conducted this past summer, done through Prop 3 funding.

During the Class 6 District 2 Semifinal, senior quarterback Brady Micek hands off the ball to junior running back Cody Keen. With 87 yards, Keen led team in rushing yards and scored a touchdown to help Lafayette beat SLUH, 28-25.

Starting his third year on staff, junior Theo Koury likes to write about and play football. Koury has recently won a Best of SNO award for his feature "More than just a rodeo". "I like Student Publications because it gives me the opportunity to write about others and connect with the Lafayette community," Koury said.

Prom held at Ritz-Carlton for third consecutive year

Starting her third year on staff, junior Marlie French loves to play music with her band and write opinion pieces. “I love Student Publications because everyone on staff is nice and welcoming. I have a great time writing opinion pieces and talking about issues and conflicts in our society,” said French.

Starting her second year on newspaper, senior Audrey Thomas likes to write current and meaningful pieces, zeroing in on different perspectives and experiences. "I love student publications because I am passionate about writing and journalism. I like journalism because it allows me to see different perspectives," Thomas said.

The newest member on newspaper, senior Zach Diethelm, has just started his journey with the Lancer Feed but is already making strides in the publication. "I love student publications because the people are friendly, and it's a very fun, hands-on learning experience. I have liked learning writing, interviewing and research skills as part of the process," Diethelm said.

She specifically enjoys watching soccer, her favorite teams being Chelsea FC and St. Louis City SC. Outside of school, she loves to spend time with friends and family, watch movies and sleep.
