Many discover their love of singing in a choir, but freshman Chloe Tiemann found hers at Windsor Crossing Community Church.
“I’ve been at Windsor since I was born. My mom is the Programming Producer for the music at the weekend services. We have always been a part of that church,” Tiemann said.
Tiemann discovered her love for singing in 7th grade when she began to sing in the band at the Wednesday youth services.
“I had always wanted to sing, but I was too shy to sing in public, so I didn’t really get exposed to it until I started singing in the youth band. That’s when I really started to love it,” she said.
Her singing quickly turned into not only a passion of hers, but her way to help others.
“I feel like I get to know God through singing, so knowing that I am helping to lead others to him means so much to me,” Tiemann said.
Lately, she has had the opportunity to sing more often and on Dec. 8 she got to do something entirely new for her.
“I lead worship by myself for the first time last week. I had been doing harmonies before, but we did a Christmas set-list and I sang The First Noel,” she said.
Tiemann enjoyed her experience and only hopes to continue growing and learning through music at her church.
“I would love to continue leading. I would love to end up singing at the weekend services and maybe singing outside of my church with others,” Tiemann said.
