Lancers win Homecoming Game, soccer keeps two clean sheets

Boys Cross Country

In their Gans Creek Invitational, the Lancers placed 17th. Their next meet will be on Sept. 30 at the Dale Shepherd Invitational. 

Girls Cross Country

In their Gans Creek Invitational, the Lancers finished 17th. Senior Natalie Barnard finished 1st in the Long Course, with a time of 17:48.60. Their next meet will be Sept. 30 at the Dale Shepherd Invitational.

Football

At their Homecoming Game Sept. 22, Lancers beat Parkway West 35-17. Senior Zae Jones scored 3 touchdowns and junior Michael Callahan scored the other 2. The Lancers’ current record is 4-1. Their next game will be against Ladue Sept. 29.

Field Hockey

Losing to Ursuline 2-1, Sept. 21, the Lancers ended their three game winning streak. Senior Olivia Williams, who has the most goals in the St. Louis area, scored a goal during the 4th quarter of the game. Their current record is 5-3, and the Lancers will face Lutheran South Sept. 25 and they will face Rockwood Summit Sept. 27.

Girls Golf

In their game against Webster Groves Sept. 18, the Lancers won, 175-203. Continuing their winning streak, the Lady Lancers defeated Rockwood Summit 171-180 at Crescent Farms Sept. 19. At their Farmington Match Play Sept 20, LHS placed 2nd. The Lancers’ current record is 7-2 and their next match will be against Marquette at Forest Hills Sept. 26. They will also have their Rockwood Quad match Sept. 28.  

Boys Soccer

With two clean sheets, the Lancers went undefeated this week. They beat Parkway North 2-0 with goals from senior Matheus Gasparino and junior Andrew Dillard. Then Sept. 19, the Lancers beat Parkway Central 2-1, conceding their only goal of the week. The Lancers then capped up their week with a 1-0 win over Ladue. Coming up, the Lancers will play Vianney Sept. 26 at home at 6 p.m. and Webster Groves away Sept. 29.

Boys Swimming & Diving

The Lancers placed 2nd in their tri-meet against SLUH and Oakville, with SLUH coming out on top, Sept. 19. Despite losing to them last year, the Lancers beat Marquette 100-85 Sept. 21. This week. Sept. 27, they will have a tri-meet against Francis Howell Central and Webster Groves. 

Girls Tennis

The Lady Lancers went undefeated this week. First, sweeping Parkway West Sept. 18 and beating Westminster 7-2 the next day. After their two wins, they ended the week with a 7-2 win over Parkway Central Sept. 21. The Lady Lancers’ schedule this week holds three games in three days. They will play St. Joseph’s Sept. 25, Kirkwood Sept. 26 and Parkway South Sept. 27.

Girls Volleyball

Sweeping both their opponents last week, the Lady Lancers went 2-0. They beat Borgia 3-0 and Lindbergh 3-0. The Lady Lancers will play Oakville Sept. 26, St. Dominic Sept. 27 and Pattonville Sept. 28.

Softball

With their overall record standing at 12-4, the Lady Lancers went undefeated this week. In a shutout, the Lady Lancers beat Parkway West 7-0. In their annual Pink Game against Marquette, the Lady Lancers beat the Mustangs 8-4. Then they ended their week with a 7-2 win over Timberland. The Lady Lancers will play three games this week facing Lindbergh Sept. 25, Oakville Sept. 26 and Kirkwood Sept. 27.
