Inter-State to host make-up photos on Sept. 9

A student has his school photo taken before the start of the 2020-2021 school year. This year’s make-up photos are scheduled for Sept. 9 during AcLab. Any 9th, 10th or 11th grader who has not had a photo taken should check with their teacher at the beginning of homeroom to find out their appointment time.

Make-up photos will happen on Sept. 9 during the Academic Lab period, and this will be a final opportunity for underclassmen to have photos taken.

All photos are taken by Inter-State Studios. The picture is part of a student’s official school record and is used  for Infinite Campus, school ID and the school yearbook, the Legend. Homeroom teachers have a master list of all 9th, 10th and 11th grade students who have not been photographed yet this year and the appointment times.

Students who did not get a photo taken should check with their homeroom teacher right away on to see what time their photo is scheduled.

Students do not need to purchase photos or bring money that day. Orders are done online and students will receive information in an email.

There are still around 175 underclassmen who need to be photographed.

The dress code for pictures consists of no hats or T-shirts with any writing on them. Students are asked to avoid strapless or very low cut shirts. Photos are being taken in Room 180, right behind the Welcome Center.

For students who already had photos taken and want a re-take, or seniors who still need a portrait, Oct. 12 will be the re-take date and final senior photo date.

“We want to make sure every student has a photo taken. Not only is it an important part of their school records, but we want the yearbook to accurately reflect the entire Lafayette student body and be a true historic record of all the Lancers who attended school here this year,” Nancy Smith, Legend adviser, said.
