Sometimes, a student discovers what they want to make a career out of through a class they take in high school. This was certainly the case with senior Alice Yerby.

Q: What’s your favorite thing about school?

A: My favorite part of school is probably coming here with my friends, and also I like to learn a lot. It sounds kind of weird, because a lot of people don’t like to learn, but I find it interesting to learn about subjects that I’m actually interested in, like psychology.

Q: What do you like about psychology?

A: We learned a lot about different parts of the brain, and I thought that was really interesting. I like to actually talk about it with my friends.

Q: Are you going to go into a science field?

A: Yeah, I actually want to be a psychiatrist now.

Q: Where are you going to college?

A: I”m going to Truman State University.

Q: Do you know what you are going to major in?

A: Psychology. Both psychology and music.
