Girls track team hosts Conference Meet

On May 3, the girls track team hosted the Suburban Yellow Conference Meet. The Lady Lancers placed second in the final meet of the regular season, finishing just 11 points behind Eureka. The girls track team will kick off the postseason on May 11 at Eureka where the Lady Lancers will compete in the Class 5 District 3 Meet and attempt to qualify for the Class 5 Sectional 2 Meet on May 18 at Lafayette.

  • During the 1600 meter run in the Suburban Yellow Conference Meet at Lafayette, senior Anna Karner leads the pack. Karner won the race in 5:10.02 in addition to helping the 4 x 400 relay team to a third place finish.

  • In the JV girls 4 x 200 relay, junior Vrisha Jagdish runs the second leg of the race. The JV relay team placed fifth in Suburban Yellow Conference Meet with a 2:00.56 finish helping the Lady Lancer's JV team to a first place finish in the meet.

  • While competing in pole vault, senior Ellie Schilling leaps over the bar. After breaking the school record in pole vault three times this season, Schilling claimed the fist place Suburban Yellow Conference title in the event by clearing the bar set at 11 feet.

  • During the 4 x 400 relay, senior Haley Hudson leaps out of the blocks. Hudson helped the relay team to a third place finish in the Conference Meet, and she also placed second in the triple jump with a 35' 3.75" jump.

  • Sprinting towards the finish line, senior Ellie Schilling just edges out Hazelwood West's Alexus Tucker to help the 4 x 100 relay team finish first in the race. The relay team finished in 52.11 to earn 10 points for the Lady Lancers.
