The Lancers Boys volleyball team is riding quite the hot hand into the District tournament. They boast an impressive 28-1 record, including a win over a very talented St. Louis University High team. The team is feeling quite confident in their abilities to do big things headed into this tournament.

Senior, Clayton Mathison, had some good words on this confidence and their preparation.

“I feel like coach Ell has prepared us for our future and we know what goal we’re trying to meet and I think we can make it all the way to State if we just keep playing hard, play as a team and play our own game.” Mathison said.

The “Road to State” will start today, May 15, in the main gym of Lafayette High School. They will either be playing Seckman or Mehlville based on the winner of their match. Game time is set for 6:15 p.m.
