Girls soccer prepares for Districts after Omaha tournament

Lydia Harris dribbles the ball up the field in a game against Eureka. The Lady Lancers fell just short to the Wildcats as they lost 1-0.

This season, the girls soccer team has a record of eight wins and three losses, and they are trying to improve offensively.

“We are trying to find a way to create more quality chances,” Head Coach Tim Walters said.

Senior Lydia Harris also thinks the team could improve in certain areas of their game, but she believes the team has improved from last year.

“We could definitely work harder individually and as a team on a few tactical things, but we are doing pretty well,” Harris said.

Walters said he has an awesome group of players who like to compete. The team traveled to Omaha, NE. on April 12 for a tournament. The Lady Lancers had one win and one loss on the trip.

“Now we have moved on to Districts. We are really excited to play our rivals again,” Harris said.

Walters says the team is just going to take it one game at a time and take their chances.
