Running past her defenders, senior Meghan Conroy looks for an opportunity to score. Conroy was a big part of the field hockey team's success, scoring a total of 26 goals.

The fall sports season has come to an end, and the girls field hockey team has had a successful season.

One of the team’s top scorers, senior Meghan Conroy, thinks the team had a good season.

“Overall this season was very successful. As a team, I felt we worked hard and never gave up,” Conroy said.

Conroy had 26 goals, 22 assists and 74 points this season.  However, she says her biggest accomplishment this year was being a part of the team and watching her teammates get better while also developing a love for the game.

“My fondest memory was winning the Gateway Tournament in the beginning of the season. We had challenging games throughout the tournament and brought home a victory as all players contributed. It was an amazing feeling as it was a boost to the rest of the season,” Conroy said.

Conroy plans to continue playing field hockey in college at the University of Iowa.
